Shopping online or Shopping in a brick and mortar store

philadelphia Law Enforcement suppiesThere are a lot of things we learned in the last year about the Law Enforcement Community and sometimes its the small things that people want in your store and not the fancy stuff.   There are plenty of times we go to places like Youtube.com to watch the products that we sell to try and learn how to use them or to market them.   You can only read so much about a product but if you don’t know how something is used, certain terminology about a backpack might just confuse you.   There are so many differences between all of the bags we sell and sizes are something people have a hard time explaining.   The differences between the Rush 24 and Rush 72 5.11 bags is significant and sometimes people don’t know which one they want until they hold it in their hands.

Police Officers loose handcuffs and handcuff keys all the time and sometimes that 20yrd old holster needs to be retired.    We know have a Law Enforcement inventory and we are doing everything from Blackington badges and whatever else Philadelphia Law Enforcement Supplies like Safariland holsters, Blackhawk Serpa holsters and all of the pepper spray and batons that are used.   We have a pickup on location option on our website and stock a good bit of AR15 upper receivers and Magpul accessories.   Our Smith Optics Elite ballistic eyewear was used in the US Open here in Merrion and we are looking forward to bringing on even more products this Summer and Fall.

Worthy of a good look over- Elite Surival systems products

There are a lot of nylon companies out there and there are huge differences in the thought, quality, and marketing of them.  Voodoo Tactical has some really cool stuff but some of their products are for full blown combat and have more molle on them than most Law Enforcement would use.   I have seen some neat magazine pouches for the AR15 that also have pistol mags on the face of them which one local Police Officer really liked because it saved him some room.  Not everyone does the same thing well and then cost is another factor.  If you want to put a $2500 carbine and have it protected in your car or travel around the world with it, you’re going to have to consider some other products.  Some Nylon is for SWAT guys while others are for fireman who just need a radio pouch, but there are lots of variations in radios.

If you look at the sheen of some of the nylon products you will see the difference, the first time I picked up a double mag pouch for my Magpul pmags i noticed the quality difference that Elite Surival Systems had.      I then checked out there Covert Operations bag and it was very cool to handle, most of the Elite Surival Systems gun cases we have in the store are the Covert Operations and Double Agent gun cases.  There are a large number of CIA guys using these gun systems due to the traveling and team work they have to do.  The internal molle compartments are also a cool feature for holding handcuffs, magazines, and flashlights like the streamlight strion or Polytac.

5.11 Rush Messenger bag and Rush 72 bags

5.11 backpacksWe sell a ton of nylon gear, from molle gear to range bags and gun cases.  There are big differences between all of the gun cases that we sell and just because it’s called a gun case doesn’t  mean it’s going to have all of the protection you need when you are traveling or stowing it in a car.   I realize that not everyone has a $2000 AR15 with $1000 optics on it but I’m not going to drop my LWRC M6 with the TA31F-G in an Uncle Mike’s gun case, I’ll put it  in an Elite Survival Systems assault rifle case because the protection and design of that $80 case is worth it.   When it comes to back packs and emergency responders, there is one product line that seems to have taken the crown.

The 5.11 Rush 24 and Rush 72 bags are the most common bags we see with emergency responders.   I would have to say the multicam 5.11 backpacks are very nice and the layout of the molle locations are very nice, although I am very impressed with the Tru-Spec gunny backpacks that we have for sale right now.  Several of the gunny backpacks are with a local ambulance company and they are very eye catching.  The top handle makes them easy to pick up without having to sling them over your shoulder and they are easy to pack  up and stow away.
