Yes you can lock up your guns and still protect yourself in a timely manor

There are plenty of things in the industry that are debatable, you can argue about 9mm vs 45acp, you talk about direct impingement guns being unreliable and that are piston driven guns are better.  Well, one thing that is not a debate is protecting kids from firearms.   That previous statement might stir up some people but not every child has the competency and maturity to handle anger.    Some kids are mature enough to access firearms at young ages and there have been plenty of times that young people have used firearms to defend their homes.  A few months ago a 12yr old girls used a shotgun to stop a burglary and there have actually been defensive shootings where minors have used guns in their own homes.

I realize that some people may have serious security issues and may want a gun as close to them as possible but I personally have seen sleep walking incidences that make me glad some people don’t keep guns by the nightstand.  My primary gun safes are the gunvault safes and even though there have been several generations of them, they are reasonable priced and easy to store.   I have my Remington safes that practically need a crane to get them in the house but the Magvault gun safes don’t take up much room and are easy to put full size guns like the Glock 21 in them or a Sig 238.

Years of feedback from customers about gunvault safes

We’ve been using them ourselves for almost 10yrs and there have been big changes to the product  line since we started using them.  The buttons have chang, the doors have changed and now they are making some of the best compact or small gun safes.   I guess its due to the bad economy  but we have sold more and more of the Gunvault microvault and nanovaults in recent  months to people using them in cars.  Not only are these good car safes for your firearm, but they are great for locking up and securing cash.  Every township or State is different regarding gun laws and security can vary from bank to bank.  Here in Pennsylvania some banks have metal detectors and you can’t carry a firearm in without setting off an alarm, you have to take it off of you when going in.

There are some criticisms about some of the biometric safes but they run more reliable than firearms.  Depending on which gunvault safes you are looking to purchase, there are battery operated ones and electrical ones.   I would suggest always using batteries and actually hiding the safe in a close and not out in the open.  Many people forget that gun safes that are not properly bolted down can easily just be picked up with a  hand truck or physically carried out of the house.   You can customize the way  you secure your gun safe in a car or a vehicle.  You may want to walk into a store that stocks them because matching up firearms to gun safes is something you want to think about ahead of time before you attach something to a gun and find out the safe doesn’t work for you anymore.

Is your wifes jewelry locked up?

I have suggestion for all of my friends with firearms that are looking to get another gun safe or want to upgrade to something better than what they have.   I have an older model gunvault gun safe that I have to admit, is pretty out dated and there are some design flaws that have been addressed by the newer models.   When the batteries get weak on the older model, the door does not always kick open and after having a failure, I did some research and got a newer one.   A gun safe should be as reliable as a firearm and if you have one that is  not, get rid of it.

All of us have different financial backgrounds, but for those of you that have an investment in jewelry, talk to your wife about locking up all of here diamonds and gold and put it in a gunvault gun safe.   The benefits of putting it in something like this is that it will be somewhat fire proof out of sight, but be easy to access when she’s getting all dolled up for a night out on the town.   If it’s easy to get out, it’s easy to put back in.   For only about $100 you can both lock up a firearm or diamond necklace in the same place.  The deluxe models can easily handle 2 or 3 firearms and your wifes stuff.
