Somebody has been finding about the Jit holsters

After being in business for so many years, and working in this industry, I’ve seen enough trends in various things like firearms, holsters, ammunition and attitudes in general.   I remember when I only knew a  handful of people that CCW permits and now that number is probable 4-5 higher and it’s mostly people that I didn’t expect to get them.   I have several friends that did the College thing, the Grade School thing, and after they got tired of changing jobs, they started their own businesses.   Unfortunately, some of them found out real fast about the liabilities of having a business and dealing with the public.

There are always statistics attached to certain types of crimes and if you own a pizza sh0p, restaurant, UPS driver, or just travel around in Urban environments, you general area going to witness or know someone that was robbed or assaulted.   I do like the Don Hume holsters that attached are belt through holsters, they seem to be the simplest and smaller holster design.   The gun basically hangs in the holster unlike many other holders that contain it.   There is no clip or paddle protruding into your hip and they seem to be one of the most popular ones CCW holders are buying these days.

New Crimes and home invasions

There has been a recent out burst of home invasions close to where I live.   Home invasions have always been something that occurs, but recently there has  been a new twist in the way it is being done.   Several older folks were the targets of invasions because they were easy targets.  Now a recent rash of daylight invasions where the  bad guys broke into the house while people were in it, ran up to the master bedrooms grabbed jewelry and valuables quickly and ran right out the same door they came in.   Most of the incidences occurred within less than 1 minute.   You might be in  your basement and hear a break in and by the time you call the police and come up stairs the person is already tossing something out a window to his counterpart or already out the door.

Crime is something that is always evolving, you will find the dunce novice criminal, but there are people that are good at what they do.   Smash and grabs have also become more common because criminal just want the fast easy money and don’t want a confrontation.   Think about making sure your Gunvault gun safes are properly mounted and out of sight even if it’s hidden in the obvious places.  Even bolting down a computer or monitor is something that can slow a bad guy down and help give the Cops a chance to catch them.

Don Hume H715 holsters, are they reliable?

Concealed carry is a market that has dramatically expanded in the last 10yrs.   I can hardly believe it has been almost 10yrs since September 11th, but that event changed a lot of peoples opinions about being safe in your own Country.   With an economy that is sluggish, there have been more types of crimes in neighborhoods  that were safe where home invasion  are not that uncommon anymore.   Recently there were several home invasions against elderly people because they were easy targets.  There are things you can do to prevent yourself from being a target, but being able to retreat into your home and be able to stop a threat is important.

Inside the waistband or IWB is the most common method of concealment, but it is not the only one.  There are too many variables for me to get into right now, but Don Hume holsters are very reliable and the disclaimer for anyone that I would suggest carry IWB should be that they get a good reliable belt.  Gun belts are the key to keeping your clip on gunholster in it’s place and not coming off.   I have noticed that a lot gun holster makers have modified the designs of their clips to make them stronger.  There will always be some restriction on comfort and movement with a holster like this, but it will take some time and tolerance to get use to.
